Every weekday at one o’clock, Another Cosmic Afternoon begins its excursion into the innerspace of sound. While maintaining the accessible flow of a daytime radio show, Daglar takes you further out than most have dared to take you in the past… make no mistake: this is not your typical afternoon show. This is the afternoon show on Radio AG, where things get just a little more cosmic as the sun moves west across the sky.

Blacklight Affair

The man goes deep with a selection of blacklight soul and electro-funk, spreading the Anankhé vibe across the airwaves with a four-hour selection of cosmic beats, neon grooves and straight up machine soul. Do’Shonne gathers up sonics from around the studio and scene, including soul, funk, hip hop, house and techno to create a singular vision of future/past rhythms beaming out into another night in the heights.

G-Street

Nautilus Jones rolls deep with taut new wave boogie and rootsical beats, capturing the narcodelic magic that went down at the intersection of G and Park street, where the man cooked up his vibes in the first place, spinning trip hop in bars, dives and anywhere else he could drop a little bit of science. On G street, they never dropped the dread and the ruffness… check it out and get yourself drawn in.

Gemini Aquarium

Typhe and Sym ease back in the studio with beats and atmospheres wherein cosmic vibes are conjured for the first stage of their journey. Expect to hear occurrences like the deep space reveries of Sun Ra drift past the solar system as the smooth soul of Marvin Gaye slide into Miles Davis’ shamanic fusion, Lonnie Liston Smith’s jazz funk mixed out into the Black Dog’s electronic rhythms, and Sonny Rollins’ blazing bebop trail off into the deep space atmospherics of Brian Eno and kosmische third-eye music in the flow of the mix. The sounds of bebop, funk and atmosphere are all blended into the three hour cosmic jazz boogie trip that is the Gemini Aquarium.

High Noon

This is the lunchtime show on Radio AG, where we take you from the morning across those central hours and into the afternoon in fine style. So be sure to pull out a little something to snack on, and tune into this selection of savory grooves.

Le Temps Des Souvenirs

The perfect soundtrack to the early morning hour, Le Temps Des Souvenirs finds Charlize laying down record after record of mellow folk and lush pop and jazz on Radio AG. As the stating gears up for another day, she cools it out with selections ranging from across the globe and stretching back into time, provided they fit the mood of the moment… and make no mistake, that mood is laid back.

This three-hour show finds Typhe & Sym, amorphous entities, conjuring surreal vibes and psychedelic soundscapes in the second stage of their journey into the early hours of the morning. Lifting off with dancefloor material of disparate locales ranging from Detroit to Tokyo, the mix progresses into the ambient house climate of the Ocean Floor, ultimately settling into deep orbit with pure kosmische space music as the day starts anew, yet again.

Sunrise Selection

Every morning from 6:00am to 10:00am (Pacific Standard Time)

Starting every morning at six o’clock, the Sunrise Selection kicks off with the proper tunes to get the day started on the rite track. As the sun begins to rise, Gazza starts things off cold with some synth and new wave before moving into soul and power pop as the world begins to get on the move. The idea is to keep things succinct in the morning, sprawling out incrementally as the day goes on.

Thursday nights from 9:00pm to 12:00am (Pacific Standard Time)

Johnny Blount enters the Radio AG headquarters and mashes up tough selection of boogie, beats and rock ‘n roll from the outer reaches of the map for three hours of late night hijinx. Listen with care as the man pulls all manner of music from a deep pool of records in order to wreak havoc on the airwaves and your speakers with chest-caving bass frequencies and the rhythmic shards from beyond.

Zion & Clara Lee

Selected nights from 7:00pm to 9:00pm (Pacific Standard Time)

Zion & Clara Lee are the crossroads where this story began, the citystreets across which tapes were passed and sounds were formed, so it’s only appropriate that Slye would square his show with the source. Bringing the sound of the AG streets into the Radio AG soundscape (in the mix), Slye spins an elemental showcase of AG’s tronnik sounds via his source material (techno, house, trip hop, jungle, electro, salsa, etc.) and the beats and grooves pumping out of studios and soundsystems across the heights. Tune into Zion & Clara Lee and mainline on the sound of AG.
